With a goal of certifying 600-800 Black businesses over the next 4 to 5 years, we specialize in delivering targeted services designed to empower entrepreneurs and businesses nationwide. Through foundational learnings in procurement readiness and business certification, our guidance ensures your business is equipped to thrive and achieve sustainable success in the marketplace.

Creating opportunities for advancement & self determination through entrepreneurship for Black communities

The BEBC Supplier Council increases supplier diversity and creates opportunities for business growth by preparing Black businesses for procurement opportunities in domestic and international markets by establishing a Black business certification platform and providing procurement training and coaching.

A first of its kind course focused on the supplier, participating in the BEBC Procurement and Certification Readiness course offers Black and other business owners the opportunity to expand market share, grow their companies, discover new partners, and create new revenue streams.

Why Us?

Challenges

The Government of Canada has indicated a priority to increase Supplier Diversity, while BEBC was approached by multiple private sector organizations who were interested in adding to their supplier diversity programs by increasing the number of Black suppliers.

Less than 1% of supplier diversity programs in government procurement or corporate supplier networks - include Black-owned businesses.

Solutions

BEBC Supplier Council is unique because we saw a gap that we have found a solution for, that opens the door for Black suppliers to engage in supplier diversity programs and for public and private enterprises to have access to supplier-ready Black businesses in Canada.
